Stuart’s Stuff

Stuart loved to take things that didn’t belong to him. He took his father’s razor. He took his mother’s book. He put them in a box under his bed to look at.
“Where is my razor?” cried Father. “I can’t shave!”
“Where is my book?” cried Mother. “I need to study!”
Stuart stayed silent. He closed his door and opened the box to look at his stuff.
Then one day, he couldn’t find his baseball glove. His basketball and racecar were missing, too. He felt very sad. He told his father someone had stolen his toys.
There on his father’s desk were the glove, the ball, and the car. “Don’t take things that don’t belong to you,” Father said. Right away, Stuart returned his father’s razor. He returned his mother’s book. He promised never to take their things again.
