Frank’s Bedroom

Frank never cleaned his room. Books and clothes covered his floor. His bed was never made. “Please clean your room,” Father said.
Frank kicked his clothes and books under the bed. “All clean,” he said.
Frank was old enough to clean his room. But he was lazy. One day, his parents came up with a plan.
“Let’s go to the ball game,” said Mother. “Don’t forget your mitt.”
Frank ran to look for his mitt. But his room was so messy. He stuffed his clothes into the dresser—no mitt. He put his books on the shelf—no mitt. He made his bed and looked under it. No mitt!
“Too late,” Father said. “We have missed the game.”
Frank felt sad. But now his room was clean, except for his closet. He began to clean it. There on the floor was his mitt! “I will keep my room clean from now on,” he said.
