Troll Forest

Have you ever been to Troll Forest? Gus and Lisa found it when they went for a walk. “I’ve never seen this path,” Lisa said. “Let’s follow it.”

Gus and Lisa walked down a dark path lined with trees. It got darker and darker. They could barely see in front of them. A tiny man jumped out. “Welcome to Troll Forest!” he said. He led them to tiny chairs made out of mushrooms. A little woman gave them cups of hot tea. She gave them cookies that were smaller than Gus’ thumbnail.

Gus and Lisa watched Baby Troll crawl around on moss. It was too dark to leave Troll Forest that night, so they slept on a soft bed of leaves. In the morning, the trolls made them mushroom pancakes, then showed them the path back to their home. “Come back to Troll Forest,” they called after Gus and Lisa. “See you soon!”
