Common Cold

Are you sneezing and coughing? Do you have a headache? Is your nose running? Is
your throat sore? If so, you might have a common cold.
A cold is caused by an infection in the nose. Some colds last for two days, and others
last for two weeks. Adults get between two and three colds each year. Children get
between six and 10 colds each year!
How do you keep from getting a cold? Wash
your hands often. Cold germs can live on
doorknobs and other objects. If a sick person
opens a door, and then you open a door,
you may get a cold. If you touch your nose
or eyes, wash your hands right away. If you
blow your nose, wash your hands again. This
will help to keep colds far away from you!
