The Rat and the Princess

Mia was a princess. She lived in a big, blue castle. Her dad painted purple and yellow flowers on the walls. The halls had green leaves and green carpet. She was spoiled.

“I want to wear my pink dress! I want my purple shoes! Give me my tea set! Where are my dolls?” she yelled.

One day she took her dolls to the garden. They had tea. She dropped her teapot in a hole.

“Who will get my teapot?” she asked.
“I will,” said the little rat.
“You are too ugly,” she said.
“I will get it anyway,” said the rat. “You must take me home with you.”

He got the teapot, and the princess went home.
She left the rat in the garden.

He followed her home. She did not like him, so she threw him into the pond. Suddenly, he became a prince! The princess saw he was a nice prince so she married him. They lived happily ever after.
