Star Gazing

“I want to go to the circus on Saturday,” said Molly. “Mom, will you take me?”
“I don’t know if we can go. I have to go to work,” she said.
“I was thinking that it would be fun to see the clowns,” said Molly.
“I might have to work,” said Mom.
“The animals will be loud,” said Molly.
“I think I have to go to work,” said Mom.
“The popcorn will taste like butter,” said Molly.
“Molly, look at me. I HAVE TO WORK!”
“Cotton candy will be pink and fluffy,” said Molly.
Mom stopped. She looked at Molly. “Oh, no,” she said.
“What is wrong?” asked Molly.
“You have stars in your eyes,” said Mom.
“Huh?” said Molly.
“You did not hear me. You have stars in your eyes. I see a circus. I see animals.
There are yellow balls in your eyes! I cannot go to work. We will go to the circus!”
