Candice

My name is Candice, and I am a toaster. My home is in the kitchen, but not for very long.

I found out some very exciting news about me. Suzi is going to college, and she is taking me with her. I have always wanted to go to college. I have always wanted to travel.

I found out all about it last night. Suzi and her mom came to the kitchen, and they had a talk.

“Hey, Suzi, what do you think about traveling? Do you want to see the world? Do you want to go to college?”

Suzi nodded her head. “Yes, I want to go! When do I leave? What will I do? What things will I see?”

“I don’t know what you will see,” said her mother. “I do know some things. You will need to take some things with you. You can take my toaster to cook waffles and toast. If you want English muffins, you can cook them in the toaster, too.”

“What else do I need? Will you leave me alone? Will the city be big?”

“You will stay in a small room with another girl. I will stay with you for awhile, but then you will be on your own.”

Suzi then became sad thinking about not seeing her mom. Little does she know that I will talk to her and keep her company while I cook her waffles and toast!
