A Lollipop?

Last Tuesday I woke up late. My clock did not work, and Mom did not wake me up. It
was a strange day.
When I got out of bed, I went plop, right in the middle of the floor. I got up. Plop! I fell
again. I looked down. My feet had turned into a stick. My feet were one, long white,
cardboard stick.
I bounced to the mirror. My head was a lollipop. It was a big, round, cherry lollipop. I
was a sucker!
“Help! Mom! Help!”
Mom came running to my room. She sat on my bed. Mom laughed and laughed. She
could not stop laughing. Mom laughed until she cried.
“Where is my Candice and what have you done with her?” she asked.
“I am Candice,” I said.
“You sound like Candice,” said Mom.
“I am Candice,” I said.
“You smell like Candice,” said Mom. “Okay, Candice, change
back to the little girl I once knew.”
Poof! In a flash I was back to normal. Thank goodness for
moms!
