Do you like to be happy? Walt Disney did. He liked to make people laugh, and he liked them to be happy.

He was born in 1901. Walt lived on a farm with his mom and dad. He had three brothers, and he had one sister. Walt loved to draw, and he liked to take pictures. When he was 16, he wanted to help out. He wanted to go into the army. They said, “No.” He asked the Red Cross if he could help, and they said, “Yes.”

After the war, Walt went to Hollywood. He had $40.00, pencils, and paper. He had nothing else.

His brother, Roy Disney, was waiting for him. They made movies. Walt made up Mickey Mouse. They made it into a movie, and people liked it. They wanted more.

Walt made others. He made Bambi and Dumbo. He made a park that was fun. There are so many things to see at the park. It has rides to make people happy. Do you know what park it is?
