Hank Aaron

Hank Aaron hit more home runs than anyone before him. Hank hit 755 home runs in his time playing baseball. He broke Babe Ruth's record. It was a great day for Hank.

He was born in 1934. Hank loved to play baseball and always had a bat in his hands. He played out in the field. He could catch the ball, and he could hit the ball. Each year he got better and better.

When Hank was in high school, the Black Bears wanted him to play for them. He told them he would play. He could hit a ball very hard.

When Hank grew up, he played for the Braves and the Brewers. Hank hit home runs every year.

Many fans were happy, and they cheered for Hank. Other people became mad at him. Hank Aaron was not white, so they did not think he should be able to hit so well. They did not think he should be able to break a white man’s record for hitting the ball.

Hank was a great ballplayer. He did his job, and he did it well.
