Reptiles

Many types of animals live in our world. Reptiles are one of these kinds. They are like fish because they lay eggs. Most of them have scales, but others have feet and tails. Some have hard shells.

All reptiles move. They can walk or crawl. A snake is the one kind of reptile that does not have legs. It can only crawl across the ground on its belly.

Lizards and turtles are reptiles. Lizards have scales on their bodies. They have legs and a long tail. They have a tongue that is split in the middle.

Turtles have a hard shell. They have a tail and four legs. When they get scared, they hide inside their shells.

Reptiles are busy. They can walk and crawl. Some can swim in the water. Life is always moving.
