Dance Fever

Dance Fever was a group of neighborhood girls who loved to dance and put on performances. The girls practiced for hours on end. Finally, the day of the show arrived.

All the girls were afraid they would forget their parts. But that wasn’t the problem at all. In fact, they were about to face their worst fear ever.

Lights, camera, action! It was time for the show. The girls put on their costumes and got ready backstage. The parents were assembling in the audience section of the basement. There was a slight glitch in the technical equipment, but that was soon remedied.

The first two dances went off without a hitch. The next dance required a pyramid by the girls. They had practiced this part over and over. The problem came when Ashlyn slipped on Lexi’s knee. It was an innocent mistake that had drastic results. Ashlyn came tumbling down. Along with her went Lexi, Caitlyn, Anne, and Elise. It was a pile of arms and legs. Moans and groans were heard from the girls. A gasp rose from the audience.

With nothing left to do, the girls all rose to their feet and took a bow. This thrilled the audience, who were afraid of what might happen next. The audience jumped to their feet, giving the girls a standing ovation. In a most unexpected way, the girls had gotten the response they had dreamed of!
