a. First practise the sound /æ/ (see Unit 4). Listen and repeat.
b. Put your tongue further back and down to make the longer target sound /ɑː/. Listen and repeat.
c. Listen and repeat both sounds together, /æ/ is short, /ɑː/ is long.
