Subject: Film Photography for Beginners Class

Hello.

Several weeks ago, I registered for the class that's supposed to begin on June 8. When I registered and paid, I was told that I was the first to sign up and that the class would be held only if at least four more people did. I was also told that I would receive confirmation when that happened. However, it's getting late, and I have not heard anything yet. Does this mean that the class is canceled?

Also, I don't own a film camera. Assuming that the class will in fact run, will I be able to borrow one for in-class use? And is there film for sale at the Institute? I'm not sure which kind to buy.

Thank you,

Kyle Russell

Dear Kyle,

I am happy to report that your class will, indeed, begin on Saturday. In fact, it's full! I'm sorry for not getting in touch until now, but we only reached the necessary number of students yesterday when several people signed up at once.

As for your other questions, I believe that you will be able to borrow an Institute camera with no problem. Almost all of the other students have indicated that they have their own cameras, so there should be one available for you. Don't worry about film, either; you can purchase a starter kit (including two rolls. of film and fifteen sheets of photographic paper) for $20 at the Institute when you arrive for your first class.

Thanks and good luck!

Maria Desmond
