PUBLIC NOTICE
Due to the continuing drought and hot weather, the city of Selina is experiencing especially high water demand. In order to conserve resources, the city is implementing Step 1 of our Emergency Water Management Plan.
Under Step 1 of this plan, residents are asked to voluntarily conserve water, with the goal of achieving a five percent reduction in daily water demand city-wide. Residents are requested to limit the amount of water used to only what is necessary for health, business, and irrigation. Please avoid all non-essential water use. The watering of lawns and landscaping should be restricted to the early morning hours of 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays for residents in the northern half of the city (north of Highway 112). Residents in the southern sector of the city should limit watering to the same hours on Mondays and Thursdays.
These voluntary water restrictions will remain in effect until further notice. We hope that these measures will help protect our precious water resources and avoid any disruption in service or effect on water quality. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
