SUBJECT: Protecting Your Computers
As you know, for the last two years the standard antivirus software used here at Pruitt & Company has been a program called OneTrust. On September 25, OneTrust will be discontinued and will no longer receive updates. As a result, this software will not protect your computers against new viruses and other types of malware after that date. Computers not updated will become immediately vulnerable to attack.
This means that OneTrust must be uninstalled and new antivirus software must be installed in every company computer before September 25. We have decided to use Web Secure software to replace OneTrust. This program is held in high regard in the industry, is easy to use, and updates automatically. In my opinion, the upgrade is well worth the price. In the coming days, each department's supervisor will be providing detailed instructions for uninstalling the old software and installing the new. I strongly advise all employees to make the switch as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to me at gfaber@pruittco.com.

Hi, Gene.
I've just had a bit of a problem. I uninstalled OneTrust so that I could install Web Secure. The problem is that the license key I was given isn't working. That means my computer is unprotected at the moment! I received the license key on a written note, so I guess there must have been some mistake when it was written down. It's after hours now, and there's no one around to ask about it.
It's late, so don't feel obligated to respond to this until tomorrow morning. But could you please check the license key and get me the correct one first thing in the morning? I'd like to clear this up right away so that my staff can update their computers ASAP, too.
